Tungsten Mechanical is hiring experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technicians to join our growing service team in the Phoenix area.

This is a commercial service position – no residential work and no sales quotas or upselling. We’re looking for technicians who know how to diagnose problems, make repairs, communicate professionally with customers, and manage their work without someone constantly looking over their shoulder.

What You’ll Work On

Our technicians service and repair commercial and light industrial HVAC systems throughout the Phoenix Metro area, including:

  • Water-source heat pumps

  • Rooftop and package units

  • Split systems

  • Cooling towers

  • Boilers

  • Pumps and hydronic systems

  • Chilled-water systems

  • Commercial equipment ranging from approximately 5-100 tons

No refrigeration. No residential.

What We’re Looking For

We’re primarily looking for technicians with 5-10 years of commercial HVAC experience and strong service and diagnostic skills.

You should be able to:

  • Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC equipment independently

  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and system-performance issues

  • Work effectively without constant supervision

  • Communicate professionally with customers and the office

  • Maintain a stable and dependable work history

  • Maintain an insurable driving record

  • Participate in overtime and the on-call rotation

Experience with hydronics, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, and water-source heat pumps is especially valuable.

Schedule & Day-to-Day

You’ll dispatch directly from home in a company vehicle rather than reporting to the shop every morning.

Most technicians start their first job around 7:00 AM and typically finish around 3:30-4:00 PM.

Expect approximately:

  • 1-5 service calls per day

  • 95% of normal work within the Phoenix market

  • Approximately 300-600 hours of overtime annually

  • On-call approximately 1 week every 6-7 weeks

  • Occasional after-hours or weekend work

Overtime is paid at time-and-a-half after 40 hours.

Compensation

$40-$45/hour, depending on experience.

With available overtime, a strong technician can realistically earn approximately $113,850-$134,100 per year, plus annual bonuses.

There are no sales commissions, spiffs, or pressure to sell unnecessary work. Your job is to diagnose and fix HVAC systems.
