Toy Doctor Auto Inc.
Experienced Automotive Technicians: Ever look at the clock and feel like it’s 4 o’clock but it’s only 1:37?
Maybe it hit you this morning when you clocked in. Or even last week when you diagnosed that nightmare electrical issue in half the time anyone else could’ve and still got the same flat rate as always.
You’re the guy they call over when no one else can figure it out. You’re the one carrying the shop. And yet here you are, wondering if this is really as good as it gets.
Now, perhaps the pay’s fine. The work is steady. But deep down, you know you could have more. You should have more.
You just don’t want to admit you’re thinking about it because let’s face it: What’s the point?
Every shop says the same thing. “Great culture.” “Competitive pay.” “We’re a family here.” Yeah, sure (insert eye roll here).
So you stay. You keep your head down. You convince yourself it’s not that bad.
That’s where Toy Doctor Inc. comes in.
Toy Doctor Inc. has been specializing in fixing Asian imports in Denver since 1993. Artie (the owner) started it after 11 years at Toyota dealerships, because he was tired of the dealership politics and wanted to build something real. A place where experienced techs could dig into tough problems without the BS. Where “Fixed Once, Fixed Right” wasn’t just a slogan it was the standard.
And over thirty years later, we’re still family-owned. Still focused on Asian imports. And still the shop people come to when no one else can figure it out.
That’s why our techs stay. Two of them have been here 15 years. The average tenure is over 7 years. And as you may already know, you don’t get that with empty promises and fake culture.
You get that by paying well, treating people like professionals, and meaning it when you say no weekends.
So, if you’re an experienced diagnostic tech who’s tired of settling let’s talk.
? HERE’S WHAT WE PROMISE OUR TECHS
- $90K-$120K/year based on performance
- Production bonuses
- No weekends. Ever. Monday through Friday, that’s it.
- Health insurance – 50% paid for you, 40% for your family (kicks in after 60 days)
- Dental and vision available
- 401(k) access
- 1 week PTO after your first year, 2 weeks after year two
- 6 paid holidays
- Paid sick time (1 hour per 30 worked, up to 48 hours/year)
- Relocation assistance – available for the right candidate
- ASE certifications reimbursed
? 5-DAY WORK WEEK (NO WEEKENDS!) – We want your life to work inside and outside of the shop. Recharge over the weekend by doing the things you love and spending time with your family and friends.
? WE WILL KEEP YOU BUSY – We’re a well-established business that’s been around since 1993 with year-round active marketing campaigns in place to keep the work flowing in. We offer job security and plenty of work so you can stay busy and kick butt!
? YOU WILL LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERY DAY – There’s lots of variety in the types of work we run into, and you get to share ideas with professional co-workers who are motivated team players who like to grow. Enjoy new opportunities every day to build and test your diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
? YOU WILL BE APPRECIATED (OPEN DOOR POLICY) – We are a family-owned & operated shop. Decision-makers are onsite. Everyone is part of the team here and if you have a problem, you’ll get constant support. Your opinion is respected and you can really make a difference.
? WE WILL HELP YOU BECOME MORE VALUABLE (WE INVEST IN YOU) – We are big on professional growth. The shop pays for training and we reimburse ASE certifications. We send techs to Worldpac, Toyota, and Honda-specific courses that will make you worth more in the industry and increase your skills.
? WE PROVIDE A SAFE AND PRODUCTIVE WORKING ENVIRONMENT – We provide uniforms, a well-organized workplace with heat (swamp coolers in summer), and up-to-date tools and diagnostic equipment with all the subscriptions to make sure that you always have everything you need to do your best work.
? NO DRAMA – Life’s too short to work with wrench throwers and prima donnas. We don’t tolerate them so you won’t have to either.
? NO SURPRISES – We have daily morning huddles and monthly 1-on-1 meetings plus a clear process for handing out work, checking on progress, and monitoring performance. Everything is accessible, transparent and above board and you will always know where you stand.
? WE DON’T OFFER JOBS, WE OFFER CAREER PATHS (ROOM TO GROW!) – We love hiring and mentoring good people who want to stick with us and grow. Our techs average 7+ years with us, and two have been here for 15 years. This is a shop where A-techs can eventually move into shop foreman roles.
? YOU WILL BE A PART OF SOMETHING SPECIAL – We’ve been a pillar in the Denver community since 1993 specializing in Asian imports. We’re the shop people come to when no one else can figure it out. When you win, the shop wins and our customers win. That’s how we do business.
? WE ARE INDEPENDENT BUT YOU HAVE ACCESS TO DEALER LEVEL RESOURCES – Our 14-bay Denver facility is well-equipped with advanced technology and all the latest diagnostic tools and scan tools to allow you to work effectively and efficiently. Our shop is clean, well-lit, and organized so you can be comfortable knowing that you have everything you need to do your best work.
? WE DON’T ABUSE OUR A-TECHS – We have a great team with an average tenure of 7+ years at our shop. We don’t expect anyone to carry the shop on their shoulders and the entire team pitches in to support each other on tough problems.
? HERE’S WHAT WE STAND FOR AND HOW WE TREAT OUR CUSTOMERS
? 1090+ REVIEWS and a 4.7-STAR RATING! – We’ve been fixing Asian imports in Denver since 1993, and our customers don’t just trust us with their cars-they come back year after year. We’re the shop people turn to when no one else can figure it out. But don’t take our word for it

ABOUT TOY DOCTOR
Toy Doctor Auto Repair has been serving Denver since 1993. Over 30 years later, we’re still family-owned and operated. We specialize in Toyota, Honda, Lexus, Subaru, and other Asian imports-though we work on all makes and models. We’re the shop customers come to when no one else can figure it out.

Denver, CO gives automotive technicians a strong mix of real-city opportunity and real-world fun, with mountain access, major-league sports, family attractions and about 300 days of sunshine.
- Rocky Mountain access right outside town – the foothills west of Denver put places like Morrison and Red Rocks within easy reach, so your days off can actually feel like days off with drives, hiking, camping and mountain air instead of more time in traffic.
- Sunshine most of the year – Denver’s roughly 300 sunny days mean more usable weekends for grilling, coaching the kids, hitting the trail or turning wrenches on your own project.
- A serious sports town – with the Broncos, Rockies, Nuggets, Avalanche, Rapids and more, there is always a game, a tailgate or a reason to get out with family and friends.
- Plenty of room to move – Denver Parks & Recreation maintains 250+ urban parks, 80+ miles of trails and 14,000 acres of mountain parks, which makes it easier to keep the whole family active close to home.
- Easy to get in and out of – Denver International Airport offers nonstop domestic and international destinations, so getting home for holidays or flying family in is a lot simpler.
- Food that actually gives you options – from historic steakhouses to the international flavors of South Federal, plus MICHELIN Guide recognition, Denver gives you solid spots for date night, family dinners and a good meal after a long week.
- Good for families and gearheads alike – Denver’s attractions include the zoo, aquarium, museums and more for the kids, while the Forney Museum of Transportation and Colorado’s scenic byways give car and road-trip enthusiasts something to look forward to off the clock.
But, if you’re looking for a place where you can coast, clock in and out without caring, or just collect a paycheck while someone else figures out the hard stuff this isn’t it.
We need techs who take pride in their work. Who don’t quit when a problem gets tough. Who want to be part of a team that actually supports each other.
However, if you’re ready to stop settling and you want to work somewhere that backs up what they say with how they treat people then let’s talk.
