Through community outreach initiatives, educational programs, and exhibits designed for children ages 08, the Museum strives to spark every child’s imagination, sense of discovery and learning through the power of play, and we are expanding our outreach team!

From B is for Brave! where children learn how to identify and express emotions and learn what it means to be BRAVE, to learning about chemical reactions from watching an educator make Gloopy Glop!

This is a part time, non-exempt, hourly, position approximately 25 hours per week: Monday through Friday with some weekend days. The Outreach Educator reports to the Assistant Director of School and Outreach Programs in the Outreach Department.
The primary role is to promote the Museum’s mission and ensure positive and playful experiences by helping to develop and deliver educational outreach programs covering multiple subject matters, from arts to sciences.

Education:
High School Diploma, and/or GED, working towards or already has achieved a B. A. in Education, Science or related field.
Experience:
At least two years’ experience in camp counseling, youth development, team leadership, customer service, and/or leadership role with children ages 2 to 8 years old.
Compensation details: 18-19 Hourly Wage
