Job Description
Compensation: $18.75 to $28.13 per hour. (Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.)

Team Impact
As a PCA on our Inpatient Surgical Unit, you’ll care for adult and pediatric patients recovering from a wide variety of surgical procedures, including orthopedic, urological, thoracic, vascular, gynecological, ENT, and general surgery. Working alongside RNs and an experienced interdisciplinary team, you’ll provide compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting patients throughout their recovery and transition home.

How You Will Fulfill Your Potential (Responsibilities)
- Perform all aspects of first-level patient care including promoting hygiene and mobility
- Measure and record patients’ vitals such as temperature and blood pressure
- Responds to patient/family needs and requests
- May assist and support physicians/nurses during routine procedures and treatments
- Report all observations, changes in patient condition to responsible RN for timely, appropriate evaluation and response
- Prepare hospital rooms
- Change patients’ bed sheets, pillows and turning or repositioning patients in their beds
- Deliver meals to patients and assist with feeding
- Help patients dress and/or assist with toileting needs
- Bathe patients
- Listen to patients’ concerns, record them and report them to a nurse
- Patient companion when needed
What You Bring (Qualifications)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for caring and supporting others
- Patient care experience (preferred, not required)
- Medical terminology knowledge (a helpful plus)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (can be earned after hire)
