The Senior Director of Software Portfolio Growth is a visionary and evangelist for Software offerings within Honeywell Building Technologies. Your primary responsibility is to oversee the development, execution, and maintenance of Honeywell Building Technologies’ service offerings. This role is crucial in ensuring that the organization’s services meet customer needs, align with business goals, and remain competitive in the market. You will lead a team of professionals and collaborate with various departments to create and manage a portfolio of software offerings that drive revenue, customer satisfaction, and business growth.

The role is in Atlanta, GA and will report to the VP GM of Software and Services.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Director to lead our Software Offering Portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, management, and optimization of our portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in product management, exceptional strategic planning skills, and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver impactful solutions to the market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Portfolio Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for our offering portfolio, aligned with business objectives and market opportunities. Define the vision, goals, and priorities for the portfolio and ensure alignment with broader company strategies.
2. Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to retirement, for all offerings in the portfolio. Drive innovation and creativity in product development, ensuring that our offerings meet the evolving needs of our customers and remain competitive in the market.
3. Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification: Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive threats. Identify new opportunities for portfolio expansion or optimization to drive revenue growth and market share.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including product development, engineering, marketing, sales, and finance to drive portfolio initiatives forward. Facilitate communication and coordination between teams to ensure successful product launches and ongoing management.
5. Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new offerings and feature enhancements. Collaborate with marketing, sales, and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and adoption.
6. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including executives, customers, partners, and industry influencers. Provide regular updates on portfolio performance and address any issues or challenges as they arise.
7. Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor key performance metrics for the portfolio, including revenue, market share, and customer satisfaction. Analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous optimization.
8. Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure that all offerings in the portfolio comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Identify and mitigate risks associated with the portfolio to protect the company’s reputation and financial performance.

YOU MUST HAVE

• Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in product management or portfolio management roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills, with a track record of developing and executing successful portfolio strategies.
• Deep understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and customer insights.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions and levels of the organization.
